Colleagues, farmers, partners!
You have surely heard the news from the world markets. The situation is serious. Let us figure out what is really happening and why it is so important right now for the Russian farmer to have a reliable supplier.
Global fertilizer trade shrank by 30% in the first four months of 2026. The total volume of trade fell to 41 million tonnes against 58 million tonnes a year earlier.
The reasons are geopolitics and restrictions.
🔻 The conflict in the Middle East and the de facto blockade of the Strait of Hormuz — a key raw-material supply route — caused a sharp supply shock that cannot be quickly compensated. Prices for oil, gas, sulfur and, consequently, fertilizers soared.
🔻 Export restrictions. China, Turkey and Egypt imposed strict restrictions on fertilizer exports, which further squeezed the global market.
FAO forecasts are discouraging: even with a gradual reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the recovery of supplies will be slow and uneven.
Unlike many countries, Russia is one of the few that has a full fertilizer production cycle. And it keeps building up its capabilities.
The figures speak for themselves:
✅ More than 90% of Russian farmers' domestic fertilizer needs are covered by domestic production.
✅ By the end of 2026, fertilizer production in Russia is expected to reach 66 million tonnes.
✅ Russian fertilizer exports grew by 16% in value terms in the first quarter of 2026.
The Government of the Russian Federation has taken systemic measures to protect the domestic market:
✅ From June 1 to November 30, 2026, export quotas are in effect with a total volume of 20 million tonnes — 1.3 million tonnes more than
in the previous period
🔹 For nitrogen fertilizers — more than 8.7 million tonnes.
🔹 For ammonium nitrate — more than 4.2 million tonnes.
🔹 For compound fertilizers — more than 7 million tonnes.
Magnesium sulfate is a product that directly depends on the stability of sulfur and energy supplies. The global crisis has hit this segment as well.
The production of magnesium sulfate requires:
• Access to raw materials (magnesium-bearing feedstock, sulfur)
• Stable energy resources
• Reliable logistics
Against the backdrop of a global shortage and supply disruptions, a Russian magnesium producer is your guarantee of receiving fertilizers on time and at a predictable price.
The Silicon-Magnesium Plant is:
• A modern full-cycle production facility, opened in 2026 in Kuvandyk — a real step toward the technological sovereignty of Russia's agro-industrial complex.
• Its own railway spur (shipment without delays).
• A "Made in Russia" certificate (import substitution is our priority).
• Membership in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (proven reliability).
• Registration in the FGIS "Saturn" register (full legal compliance).
We produce magnesium sulfate here, in Russia. We do not wait for shipments from abroad. We do not depend on currency swings or customs surprises.
1. The global fertilizer market has shrunk by 30% due to the Middle East conflict and export restrictions.
2. Farmers are postponing purchases because of high prices and lower grain margins.
3. Russia is protecting its domestic market with quotas and increasing production to 66 million tonnes.
4. Russian magnesium means stability and independence from imports.
