BIG TALKS: 50,000 Hectares of Potatoes and Our Magnesium

We continue our working program at the Innoprom Central Asia exhibition in Tashkent. Today saw a meeting that may become one of the most significant for the plant's export business.

A delegation of Silicon-Magnesium Plant JSC held negotiations with representatives of a Korean-Uzbek potato-growing company.

An impressive figure:
The partners' fields cover a total area of 50,000 hectares! This is a huge agricultural complex where potatoes are grown on an industrial scale using cutting-edge technologies.

What was discussed?
Potatoes are a crop that is highly demanding of magnesium. A deficiency of this element directly affects tuber starch content, the shelf life of the harvest and disease resistance. Our magnesium sulfate (both heptahydrate and monohydrate) is an ideal solution for large-scale projects like this.

🔹 The farm's magnesium fertilizer needs for the 2026-2027 season.
🔹 Terms of direct deliveries from our plant in Kuvandyk.
🔹 Adapting application rates to local soils (together with the partners' agronomists).

The result:
The negotiations were constructive. The parties agreed to work out a commercial proposal and to ship trial batches of products for demonstration field trials on Golden Seed's fields.

We would especially note the high level of trust — our Korean and Uzbek colleagues are interested in long-term cooperation with a Russian producer.
